Basalt Crust comes from the volcanic areas of Auckland. It is the typical 'traditional look' stone wall you'd see in Auckland. As you'd expect, being of volcanic origin, it is a very hard but durable stone. The stone has a typical basalt blueish/grey colour core with which can be exposed by various splitting techiniques. The natural surface can often have a brown/yellowish tone. Typically laid in random bond.
